Swan Valley Region Mechanical Trades Initiative

The Swan Valley Region Mechanical Trades Initiative is intended to address the shortage of qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics in the Swan Valley Region. This unique project is designed to take candidates through the four levels of technical training and required hours of industrial experience through to Red Seal accreditation. The need in the Swan Valley Region has been identified relating to Truck/Transport, AG Tech and Heavy Duty trades persons.

There are 13 apprentices currently enrolled in the program. All candidates have completed pre-technical training in as well as Level 1 Heavy Duty technical training in June 2015. They are now all in work placements in the Swan Valley Region as well as northern Manitoba.
