PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Duration:
- 4 weeks in-class and hands-on training
- 4 weeks of paid work experience (for qualifying participants)
- The program is a mix of classroom and experiential learning
- Familiarization flights
- In-depth modules on northern aviation challenges.
- Networking opportunities with industry experts and guest speakers.
- No tuition is required for MB residents
- Training materials are provided for accepted students.
- Experienced program mentor to support student success.
Ideal Candidates:
- Are interested in the exciting field of northern aviation.
- Seeking entry-level employment opportunities.
- Aspiring pilots, flight attendants, Aircraft Maintenance
- Indigenous youth ages 18-29 will be given preference, but everyone is welcome to apply.
Outcomes:
- Work Readiness Skills – potential employment offers.
- The program’s graduates will be accredited with a joint certificate, which provides credentialsrecognized by the Aviation industry.
- Achieve your Radio license from Transport Canada.
- Students will gain transferable skills that are applicable across various sectors within Aviation and extend to industries beyond.
